D.E.A. (Don’t Even Ask!!!) tuned up, plugged in, freed our ridge souls. Tapping Grinin Jimmy President Nuggets So. Calif., on the shoulder I wondered, “Does he realize how funny he looks with that orange security hat on top of his head?” Yeah he did, but what’s a biker to do? Other motorcycle club associations, Soldiers For Jesus MC, The Christian Motorcyclists Association and Born To Die Motorcycle Ministry volunteer security duty as well.
A.B.A.T.E. of California and the Partners Association handled the bike games Weenie Bite Contest and Slow Ride. Bikers made silent promises to the good Lord above to be good if they won. Aim for the dog honey, open wide, swallow deep take hold of that weenie, bite down real hard. Keep that weenie safe inside your month, don’t spit, and show the world you’re the best my dear.
Bands performed through out the day such as; the Ben Robinson Band rocked us with their biker blues. The Nelsen Adelard Band performed main stage. Nelsen Adelard Band sent us back in time taking us on a magical mystery tour. Thunderruns.com and Molly Alone’s Sports Tavern sponsored the dunk tank. Miss Molly teased the horny crowd of bikers pleading with them to try their best and make her wet. Tennis balls aimed to score hit their bulls’ eye; down Miss Molly went again and again.
World Champions since 1936 Victor McLaglen Motorcycle Stunts & Skill piled on top of each other forming a moving living pyramid. Harry Fisher Drill Leader since 1979 along with Marty Fisher Stunt Leader and Mickey Minor team Climber put on the most spectacular motorcycle stunt show seen across the United States!
Gavin Fax has been with RIP’S B.A.D. Ride since the first rally honoring bikers with her beautiful voice as she sang the National Anthem. The Fryed Brothers voted most loved by bikers worldwide known for their performances with such events as; Love Ride; Laughlin River Run and the Red Wood Run. Harry Fryed lead vocalist plays one mean fiddle not to mention his dynamic harmonica. Was I disappointed? Hell no, if you don’t dig their music then you must be dead. Stop by The Fryed Brothers web site www.fryedbrothersband.com, tell them Miss BB sent ya and say hello.
Canned Heat headlined well known for their blues music, top ten hits such as; “On The Road Again” and “Lets Work Together” Canned Heat’s been around for thirty some odd years with thirty-three albums to their credit. There’s no end in site for Canned Heat adding to their list of accomplishments, “Living The Blues” Canned Heat’s Bio of music, drugs, death, sex and survival by Fito de la Parra with T.W. and Mariane McGarry. http://www.cannedheatmusic.com check it out for yourselves.
Motorcycles parked center stage. Winners of “Best of Show” were announced. Pride and joy was felt as each individual called claimed victory for their prize-winning motorcycle. This year’s Bike Show was a great success thanks to all the hard work of volunteers. Sponsored by Full Throttle Magazine West Coast Edition the “Ugliest Biker” Contest. You spot them at biker rallies, on the road, in the bathroom mirror. Bikers know ugly like no other, sponsored ten of their own. One would be crowned as “UGLIEST BIKER”. Donna McCann won the title and reputation, “UGLIEST BIKER” even Donna’s own Harley voted for her cause she’s so ugly.
Thanks goes out to the team of volunteers who without their devotion charity events such as RIP’S B.A.D. Ride would never get off the ground. Volunteers the Unknown Soldiers backbone to a fundraiser’s success. Thanks go out to Wheel Works, providing the trophies for Weenie Bite and Slow Ride Contest. Special thanks to Durham Metal Polishing of Orange County, Kill City Choppers of Santa Ana, Orange County Plating & Powder Phil and Charles Shilling of Santa Ana.
