LOS ANGELES, CA, August 2, 2003 -- The commercial food industry can now breathe easier with the launch of Sharp Electronics Corporation’s new line of Plasmacluster™ air purifiers. Based on Sharp’s innovative Plasmacluster Ion technology, the air purifiers clean the air as well as remove odors, airborne irritants, allergens, and smoke, which can be bothersome to food service customers. The products are simple to use and care for, and the sleek design integrates easily into any decor.
“Sharp is committed to developing one-of-a-kind appliance products that meet our customers needs,” said Bob Scaglione, Vice President of Marketing, Sharp Electronics Corporation. “Our new Plasmacluster air purifier line was designed to reduce the presence of airborne allergens like pollen as well as eliminate unpleasant odors and smoke, providing consumers with a cleaner and healthier indoor environment.”
The air purifier line (models FP-N40CX and FP-N60CX) features Sharp’s Plasmacluster Ion technology, which generates positive and negative ions that reach all areas of the room to efficiently and effectively clean the targeted air space. The models are equipped with a triple filtration system, which includes a true HEPA filter and an active carbon filter, that work to remove household odors. They also feature Library Quiet™ performance.
Sharp’s new air purification systems boast the following features:
* Air status indicator measures the presence of odor and dust particles.
* Inverter controlled fan features powerful “High” mode with 141 cubic feet/minute airflow and quiet “Low” mode with 18 cubic feet/minute airflow for Library Quiet velocity (16dB).
* Remote control features:
* Ion Control button to increase the ratio of negative cluster ions to optimize the indoor climate.
* Clean button for removing pet dander, pollen and smoke.
* Auto cluster ion button that switches between Clean and Ion Control automatically depending on the amount of impurities in the air.
* Special program mode helps reduce the presence of airborne allergens.
* Timer with settings for one, four and eight hour cycles.
