Bruce Transportation Group / Erion Honda Racing's Josh Hayes rode a consistent race to finish 3rd place behind runner-up Grant Lopez, and Formula Xtreme winner Aaron Gobert. Parts Unlimited / PJ1/ Erion Honda Racing's Jake Zemke finished the race in 8th place.

Young John Hopkins secured the 2001 Lockhart Phillips Formula Xtreme title at VIR.
